Tanzanite is a trichroic gemstone, meaning that it exhibits one of three colors depending on the angel the crystal is viewed. Tanzanite was earlier mined only in the Merelani hills near the northern Tanzanian towns of Moshi and Arusha. However now Kenya ,Tanzania, and Pakistan are some of the new places where traces of the Tanzanite gemstone have been sorted.
